Most of you already know that the Bob Long Marq series marker is roughly based and engineered very similar to the Freestyle operating concept.
The Marq and Freestyle are not 'Spool valve's', the Marq is an 'Inline poppet valve design' while the Freestyle is a 'Blow forward' design.
On the FS the bolt is cocked using Lpr pressure, and fired with Hpr pressure. The Marq uses LPR pressure to open and close the poppet valve, and re-cock the system, but fires using HPR pressure as well.
The main difference is that the Marq system relies heavily on the LPR. If the LPR is not set properly, not only will you get major drop-off, but inconsistent velocities as well.
Here is a comparison of both firing engines.
